Racer softball opened its 2010 inaugural season at Racer Softball Field at Murray-Calloway County Park. A Murray-Calloway County Parks and Racer Athletics partnership wasformed in which the athletic program would be allowed use of a field in exchange for significant upgrades to the facility that would remain the property of the city parks. The field underwent significant upgrades to make it ready for the 2010 season. Construction included lazer grading, a brand new playing surface, a new irrigation system, home and away bullpen areas and batting cages, perimeter fencing, new backstop with a blocked wall and netting, bleacher seating and blocked dugouts. The softball team also received a new scoreboard, courtesy of Pepsi Mid-America.
The Racers softball team also received a new locker room in Roy Stewart Stadium. The locker room was outfitted with wooden lockers for each player and a lounge area for the team to relax in before and after games.
